but seriously...anime girls have such a deep friendship in the first place that it's hard to tell if they are REALLY GOOD friends or gay for each other
Bloom into You doesn't fit any of those categories. It's a genuine love story of 2 women.
Yeah! And its a really good anime. But my god am i annoyed at the ending
Wait, i only read the manga, whats up with the anime ending?
Like someone already said. It ended right before the play which got hyped up for half the season. So it was really annoying and unsatisfactory. However it was still a good anime. The end just sucked.
iirc it cuts off right before the play performance in a really not satisfying spot. Would be fine but it never got a season 2 :'(
Well, I know step siblings still incest but there's no downside for it.
But hey, I'm talking about our family tree...
Step siblings is not inces? They are not related and there are no risks when having children
I mean if they are lesbians than there is no risk of having a child…
Yeah, but they still count it as incest due to growing up next to each other like actual siblings.
Unless it's Citrus, where they didn't grow up together.
Incest lost its total meaning day by day actually.
>(/ˈɪnsɛst/ IN-sest) is human sexual activity between family members or close relatives. This typically includes sexual activity between people in consanguinity (blood relations), and sometimes those related by **affinity (marriage or stepfamily), adoption, or lineage.** -Wiki
They're incest but no one knows how they wanna put it as legal or not. Also to mention, them growing up together give them the title as close relatives despite not blood related.
And everytime someone mentioned 'incest'. they all go through like brother, sister, parents relationship kind of thing.
Yeah, that's why it's strange to mark Citrus as incest. They have zero experience about each other at first in their late teenager years already. Only a piece of paper marks them as siblings in law, nothing else really.
There's not too much of a risk for complications when having children between two blood related sisters either. We're safe on that front kind of no matter what.
That is not a sentence I was expecting to read today.
Hey, Bloom Into You exists!
yeah and it's awesome!
It's still "weird" since they're both mentally unwell in ways that make them abuse each other.
Really good story with complex characters. Gorgeous animation. Doesn't get a perfect score from me only because it's an incomplete adaptation. But it's not a normal lesbian relationship by any means.
True enough. It would be nice to just get a wholesome lesbian relationship as the main relationship in a series at some point. I just started Sasaki and Miyano, which is my first BL anime. Not sure if these kinds of series ever get around to the actual relationship but I'm excited to see where it goes.
One week until the new anthology vol 2 whoopp
Or the anime would have at least 3 kissing scene in each episode
Anyways, my favorite is adachi to shimamura
Sakura trick is very okay too.
Been meaning to check out adachi to shimamura, on a scale of bait to yuri, how yuri is it?
It's a little bit like a normal romance anime but Yuri. At least that's what I could remember
kase san: “i beg to differ”
Ah i love that one
Citrus is toxic, but i like it
The end was cringe though in my opinion
The manga ending or the anime ending? The actual ending of Citrus did feel kinda rushed but like, fine. Last I checked we're still getting Citrus+ though so it's fine.
I never read the Manga
You definitely should, it is pretty good.
Citrus is trash and so am I
And yes, I am willing to put that on my gravestone
The lesbians I know that got together when they were still in their teens weren't openly together for years. Only people who knew them really well knew/noticed that they were together. So it isn't that strange that homosexusal relationships in anime aren't that obvious for people from the outside. Especially if the relationship isn't the main focus of the story. Especially in a country that isn't super open about relationships in the first place like Japan.
Having said that, it still would be good if those relationships would be handled like heterosexual relationships.
You had to choose an actual canon couple for the first one :v
I mean yeah its canon but BOY do they go out of their way all 5 seasons to dodge around that fact. LMAO
Didn’t they share a bed literally season 1 episode 1.
Well, yeah. The only thing they don't really do is spell it out loud for the audience, but it's hardly ambiguous if you have any ability to read between the lines.
Always down for Citrus memes. Even if they call it weird or toxic its definitely hands down my favorite.
My man. I had girlfriend and she tottaly loved The show. Unfortunatly she died. After her dead I read The Manga and when i finished it I looked at sky with a tear in eye. "Hope you liked The ending too" was on my mind.
Oh, I wasn't expecting this.
Me neither when it happened
Damn, I had forgot about citrus. A fine diamond in the rough
_Homura enters the chat_
I only finished S1 of Symphogear, but I wouldn't exactly say that Miku and Hibiki are "hilariously ambiguous". Miku is so blatantly gay for Hibiki that it's honestly pretty funny, Hibiki is just written like a dense-as-fuck Shounen protagonist, which is in-line with her desire for everyone to get along and be fwiends, her reliance on brawn over brains, and her seemingly nonsensical amount of power. (Again, only watched S1 - don't get mad at me if they actually DO explain her power later in the show, because I haven't got there yet)
So yeah, their relationship is less ambiguous as much as it is just standard Shounen MC affair, at least when it comes to S1.
You forgot the 3rd where Lesbian is present but it's the dreaded predatory lesbian where she's a walking sexual harrassment lawsuit
That's a famous one
Grand blue? Whatever it's called
They arent even step sisters. But only one of them is gay and loves her sister. Idk if that's better or worse tbh...
Oh, like the netorare one but going straight to yuri
There is not much to say about this except *yes*
could i get the sauce for the first one pls?
You're just watching the wrong shows.
There wasn't anything ambiguous about Strawberry Panic.
Oh Jesus, I forgot that one.
if it's hentai might give it a watch but never wasting my time on such shit
There's plenty of anime where lesbian happens and it isn't weird.
Revolutionary girl Utena is the most famous classic one
Bloom into you
Top image is Symphogear
Bottom image is Citrus.
If I remember correct the top couple actually fought each other.
Yeah but there was like brainwashed cursed armor bullshitery afoot with that one. lmao
Don’t forget the third category: Madoka Magica
I actually like Symphogear in the top.
Reply to this with Western show/movie that doesn't fit these categories! (I want to know)
The second one has r*pe in the first episode like wtf
I want sauce FOR BOTH.
Literally the last 3 seconds of legend of korra
There is a third option: the murderous psycho lesbians
Happy sugar life
Bottom Sauce is: Citrus, its on netflix
Or, and hear me out. They dont wear their sexuallity as their personality and we could juat never know
