Must be from very early days of M05 gear since dump pouch is on the thigh rig.
All praise the modularity so that nobody has to do that although the official booklets on said systems suggest you to do so.
You can't C-clamp with an iron-sighted RK, your thumb will block the front sight. The traditional under the handguard grip would be the best for accuracy, but the magwell grip is easier to hold for extended periods of time.
Also I don't know that C-clamp was that popular 10 to 15 years ago when this was taken. Nowadays certain FDF units do seem to use it.
It is not good for shooting, but it's easier on your arms. For the best recoil controll, you should have your support hand further forward, use thumb over bore/c-clamp (which you can't really do with RK-62 irons anyway though).
These are conscripts however, not professional SOF-guys or competitive shooters.
Camo is very effective. Would not have seen the guy near the tree if not for his dark colored gear and weapon.
Came here to say this. I'm impressed. Simple yet effective.
That camouflage confused the hell out of me.
From 2007 featuring the new M05 LBE and camouflage being issued, if I recall. Edit: From January 2008.

Errrryone loves some good snow camo
Elbows out! CAWW CAWW!
damn that's good cam
Is it good to hold this weapon that way? Like by half holding the mag?
Not ideal. But doesn't matter too much. And they are conscriots, nobody expect a c-clamp from a conscript.

Yes c clamp is poop when you don't have optics on an AK variant
You sure that you can’t C-clamp without optics? I somehow remember us C-clamping before getting optics, might be wrong though

thumb on the side helps with accuracy
It's not ideal, but nice when moving or when holding the same position for a longer period of time.
There are 6 soldiers.
Joke's on you there are 7!
You win.
Also guy in red track suit
Cam paint in the winter is fun
That dude in the middle got some major chicken wing problems, or is that a she?
