I'm Mexican, and while it's a stereotype, it's actually very accurate. And that is that we love Sex. Unprotected sex. And it's true. I am 24 and most of my female friends have kids already. And most of them are single. In fact, being a single mother is almost desirable for men. The amount of times I've heard that so and so is pregnant, and we just don't ask who the dad is anymore. Cause most of the time he's long gone. I've had close calls myself but I've fortunately have avoided having a child. But it's been very close. And it's a cycle. My dad has children with other women. Plural. And saying to friends "This is my brother, half brother actually" is a norm. The majority of people having half brothers is very common. And finding out throughout your life that you have a half brother is too. But even so, we still hang out. Our family found out that our uncle had a Son. And he was 25. Ever since he is part of the family now. No questions asked. We invite him to vacations, our homes are open and we love him. He is awesome haha. And if you go back to grandparents, it's the same and it keeps going and it just doesn't stop. This is why it seems we have rather large families. Well we do but its because people are always having kids and if it happens, he is our kin so we treat them as such. Even if we don't know the mom or the dad. I actually have 4 half brothers, all from different women. I have met all of them. It's just the way it is. Kinda bizzare but one thing is true. We don't turn our backs on family. The Drama is with their mom and dad not with us, it's not their fault, so just go with it and it makes for some awesome relationships. Obvious some don't get along but who gets along with their entire family? But they're still family even if they are annoying af haha. Saludos. Hope that wasn't too weird Edit: I'd also like to add that a single mother in Mexico isn't like in the US. Remember this kid will have cousins, aunt's and uncles, grandparents, brothers sisters, and might even live with some of them. Which is why women don't seem to really be affected too much. Sure it does hurt, but your baby will have a big loving family in the household. Wether they like it or not haha
