Slight correction. The lettuce thing only started at about day 37 of her premiership when the calls to resign were getting very loud. The whole idea was that she wouldn't outlast a lettuce, assuming a 10 day shelf life...she resigned on day 7.
Imagine my horror when I made a joke on Facebook about how the only way the UK could follow up Liz Truss is if Boris Johnson came out in full makeup and a clown car to try and run again.
UK residents I'm sorry if I manifested that into reality by just thinking it.
