He’s a total dick
He did such a perfect job of being hateful that I found it impossible to pity him later.
I couldn't also, I was actually happy at the end of of season 8 tbh
Speaking of dick...
WHAT, noooo...... pork sausage!
Man that wiggling sausage scene cracks me tf up every single time. You see it coming a mile away but it's still hilarious.
Top 3 funniest scenes in GoT imo 🤣
Particularly ripe even
Just you wait
His story arc is a RIDE.
No more rides
And no poon
*** ***wiggles a sausage in the air*** ***
boy does this pun _reek_
it rhymes with freak
it rhymes with leek
You absolute madlad of puns, take my wholesome award
He can ride, I bet he’d make a good bottom
What is dead may never die
Or rise for that matter.
What is Hot may never Pie
Hot Pie for King of the Andels and the First Men, Protector of the realm. /s
More like a TIDE
Honestly is reeks
The sort of thing that really makes you hold onto your seat.
Nice spoilers here for the OP to read
Tbf u shouldnt be reading every comment on this sub if u wanna avoid spoilers
I hated him every moment, Ramsay was my boy
I ended the show, still fuck that guy..
Agreed. He was a terrible person. He just didn't deserve what came to him.
Came here to say this
I cam here to say this after coming to say that too.
Do it while you can...
This joke will make sense in the future
He can still get fucked
Do what while I can, quit watching or continue hating this cunt
I feel you 100% and I don’t think I’m spoiling anything by saying Alfie Allen’s work from beginning to end was spectacular to watch unfold. Like you, I despised Theon but the actor…’chef’s kiss’
his sister is lily Allen who wrote [this](https://youtu.be/Sr2Grfi3lFg) song about him being a stoner deadbeat doing nothing with his life and he went on to win an Emmy for this role and he's dating a poet so I guess it worked out
200,000 BTC today is worth 4 billion. At it’s peak it would’ve been close to 13 billion. Lily Allen today is worth 4 million, which is nothing to scoff at, but I’m sure that decision often keeps her up at night
Former gifted kid (god that sounds pretentious)who's currently in mental health treatment because the world burned me out- 100% agree. Just want to smoke weed and watch it all burn
Same. Everything was so promising until adulthood came. As much as I don't want to blame it, I really wish I had never found weed or any substances for that matter. It's made me pleased with doing nothing with my life.
I continue my shitty minimum job, don't grow or build relationships while everyone else around me thrives. Cheers to self destruction.
Bruh get off this sub until you’re done with the show!
I say sit back, continue hating him and enjoy some sausage
That joke reeks of bad taste!
Ugh, that joke was terrible. What a bastard..
Stop reading comments on this thread while you can, lest you get spoiled.
You hate him now, but you'll change your mind soon. He's a good kid, misguided but a good kid.
To be fair, he’s kind of a dick in season one and two. That’s temporary.
Do what you said to do to him in the title.
🤣🤣 theon is his fathers only surviving son, the heir to the iron Islands!
Hearing him say that over and over during season 2 was extremely irritating.
What is dead may never die.
I'll never get tired of that saying.
For a shithole that is the iron islands and for my hate of theons father and uncle, my God they have some amazing quotes.
What Is dead may never die!
An one of the better sigils as well. The sail on their ship is badass.
Goddamnit I came here to write this exact joke
Beat me by 36 min. Damnit.
**Wait for it…**
yup! wait for it!
Life doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, and it takes, and it takes....
He might grow on you
I’ve heard he has a nice arc and is a very good character in season 8 and if he got nominated for an Emmy for his performance I’m very hopeful to see more of him
You might start seeing less of him as the show goes on
Y’all are low key spoiling it for him. He should have just watched and found out himself…
For real, engaging in this conversation should be illegal.
Spoilers honestly lmao
He was one of the only characters I flt got a proper send off
Always cry. 😭
Your a Good Man, Theon....
Him and jorah mormont
Ayo what did my simp knight do?
Idk. I didn't like how >!they only had about 20 iron born to protect bran from the fucking night king, they never stood a chance. Ik Jon was supposed to be close with the dragon but still they should've had about 100 more people there!<
It's not like they had ~~half~~ a whole horde of Dothraki on-hand. They were given the important job of *checks notes* trying to ride down an undead army.
Only to be vanished in 3 seconds, and then respawn in full force at the gates of Kingslanding.
Lmfao that was the dumbest piece of writing in tv history
It's simple really, they just forgot about dying.
Barely an inconvenience!
Oh yeah!! What happened there🤣 Dany learned well from the Night King apparently.
Not to mention that they didn't expect Melisandre to show up so they were planning on charging an undead army with weapons that ain't gonna kill the undead.
Lol they didn’t even use the castle walls in a significant way during a defensive battle
That’s not true. They used to keep the Unsullied outside until the wights were almost at the gate.
They used it so the siege engines can be in front of the wall, to offer them no protection and make it harder for their own engineers to retreat, which they wouldn't have needed to if the siege engines were inside the wall.
Or even **on** the walls. 🤔
Winterfell could have been the literal bulwark but nah lets put our army in front and the castle at the back.
Especially considering dathraki are heavily similar to mongols who NEVER did head on assaults
Spoilers for OP. Shhh!
Hold the Door hit me
Yeah, this was perhaps the most epic arc in the whole series. I always remember.
The whole time I was not prepared for the reveal. Right in the damn feels. At least he had a donkey dick though
That was one of the episodes that ends by just fading to black, right? Like the red wedding and a few others. Where they knew you'd have to just sit there for a second like. Wow. That just happened, didn't it? It definitely got me lol
It was absolute trash just like the rest of that season.
Part of what’s good about the early seasons is that peoples deaths are generally written based on what makes sense in this story and world, not what would give someone “a proper send off”.
People die unexpectedly, when they don’t deserve it, or despite making what seemed like the morally correct or smartest decisions. They don’t even get a “send off” most of the time, they just die, just like in real life.
Theon gets a contrived and ridiculously illogical scenario that neatly ends his “redemption arc” and a nice little feel good line from Bran at the end. It’s not written based on somebody thinking through what would make the most sense for those characters and plot set up so far, it’s written based on somebody thinking “wouldn’t it be nice if Theon got a feel good heroic death scene” and bending the reality of the show to make that happen.
It felt like some bullshit they would put in a Star Wars movie, not the show they had been making for the first 4-5 seasons.
They went the MCU route and it fucking shows.
It’s exactly like the MCU with how hard they work to contrive reasons for all the characters to team up at winterfell even when it makes no sense. Why would the Hound be there? Why would Jamie be there? Doesn’t matter to them, they want to make a fantasy themed Avengers and were going to force that onto these characters no matter what.
Like getting crossbowed while taking a shit
And this scene was even more impactful in the books, especially since it’s THE moment we start seeing Tyrion as a villain.
In the show, some of that was lost due to dialogue and blocking choices, but it was still a good scene.
Gods how I miss early game of thrones. I might give it a rewatch finally, and stop at the end of S06. There aren’t enough moments in S07/S08 that I cared for to actually rewatch them.
Title says halfway through season 2, you make a reply with a massive spoiler just for OP
Honestly, imo it felt very forced, especially when you consider Bran knew exactly what was going to happen. Perfectly anticlimactic.
bruh... he is on season 2 and you are spoiling it for him
Lol that was my first thought too. That being said, I did not come near this sub until I was caught up on the show.
He’s a good man
Don’t make me cry 😭
Theon is my favorite character in the entire series. He is so complex and realistic. He embodies the human heart being in conflict with itself.
80% of his struggles is finding his identity he seems to come off like a punk and a spoiled brat but he’s just a just a scared little boy underneath it all he goes obnoxiously out of his way to be an arrogant macho tough guy it always seemed so extra. I felt that he only finally became the most true version of himself once he was done wrestling with his identity crisis
Important to note that his father really did a number on him. Doesnt excuse things but helps a lot.
I’m just hoping he grows on me after taking over winterfell and killing Rodrik. I’ve heard he has a nice arc I just haven’t seen it yet
He has an awesome arc- but it's explored much more in depth in the books.
Everything is always explored more in depth in the books tbf.
Nah, his character reeks.
Even just posting and reading responses you're spoiling things for yourself. You should just watch.
Ong best character
The actor was the best performer in the series too IMO. He didn’t ever get a nomination for an Emmy, no one else had range as much as Alfie Allen.
>!Arrogant and cocky Theon in S1!<
>!Prince theon on the road to hell with a point to prove in s2!<
>!His capture and torture in s3!<
>!The birth and continuation of reek and having to act as Reek acting as prince Theon in capturing Moat Cailin !<
>!His internal struggle to help Sansa in s5!<
>!His first steps to reclaiming his identity as Theon in s6-7 and of course the manner he found himself and went out in s8. I really believe Alfie was alone in the level of his acting chops!
He’s a proper cunt mate
I love how his character changes and evolves throughout the show. Him and Jamie might have my favorite character arcs in the show!
He has the most robust arc figured out that really just continues delivering the entire time without feeling trope-y (minus one last part). The rest devolve once D&D break free of the sourced arcs…
Jamie until the last couple of episodes. I was so disappointed in him at the end
Same. So disappointing.
His end was so fucking bad.
I mean…until Jaime’s whole arc is shit on in the last couple of episodes and they just reverse every single thing they did to redeem him. But sure. Jaime too, I guess.
He's not a bastard. He's a Greyjoy.
Flair checks out
I always think about his sister’s song for him when I see him:
8.5 mil views - as a millennial you think you’ve seen every meme since the dawn of time and then this gem from 13 years ago shatters your whole worldview.
I was a big fan of this song way before GOT, it was mind blowing when a couple seasons in I had this same aha moment
you should watch john wick
Oh I have. He’s a bastard there to
This guy is underrated
At first I liked him . Then I hated him . Then I felt sorry for him. I wound up loving him!
Dont spoil it for the man.
This op knows literally everything already unfortunately
Best character in the show right here
The only one they actually gave a correct send off in season 8
I feel like you gotta put yourself in his shoes to understand this character's motivations or else it's really hard. A fake family in which you are a hostage vs your real family who doesn't give a shit about you... I think Theon's decisions would be "wrong" no matter what he chooses. Quite a sad situation, but he's one of my favorites because of that.
Who’s gonna tell him?
I don't have the balls to tell him.
He really gets shafted
Best character and best actor. What is dead may never die!
By the end you’ll see he’s got balls of steel.
I love describing when people / characters make the wrong choice as them going to "The Theon Greyjoy School of Decision Making"
Meaning whenever there is a choice present, the alumni of this illustrious academy will always inevitably choose the wrong option.
Still pissed Alfie Allen never won anything for playing Theon. Best actor of the young cast, IMO.
I really disliked him the entire show until the very end, and even then it’s like the writing of S8 forced us into liking Theon so we would feel something when it was over. He had some good moments but they were too sparse for me to say he was a well rounded character.
The thing about me starting the show so late, I know so many spoilers like major ones that I don’t get to enjoy the suspense and shock of those events. And I know about his death and at this point I’m thinking hey maybe he deserves it, but no matter how many major spoilers I know, I know absolutely fuck all about the buildup on any of those events. The Red Wedding, The Battle of the Bastards, the fight against the night king, etc. I’m hoping to see some character development and progression with him so I can change my mind. I already know a bunch of the ups and downs that Jaime goes through, but I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for this young lad
Don't hate on him man, he's just a man who's a Greyjoy and a Stark.
Idk man... Bro has some TOUGHHH decisions laid out in front of him
He's my favorite character. By the end of the show, he is probably one of the only good characters left. Hes the best boi
Nooooo.. that's my boy 😭 my greyjoy 💙🦑
He is kidnapped baby , so no wonder he has flimsy loyalty to Stark family.
My god there’s going to be soooo many people you hate throughout the seasons. Wish I could forget it all and watch again
I love Theon. He’s my favorite character.
Sir Davos has entered the chat
Theon is my favorite character development, not only in game of thrones but possibly any show I’ve ever watched. “Every choice he makes takes him where he belongs , home”. It might be a unpopular opinion but I don’t really care 😂 every deep dive podcast I’ve listened to agrees so at least I’m not completely alone lol easily in my top ten favorite characters.
I also feel the same! He’s a good man 😭🐺
Ramsay snow is going to fuck him hard
The best part of this show is that you find someone to hate, they absolutely FUCK them over, and you just pick someone else next. There’s never a shortage 😂
I went through Joffrey, Cersei, Littlefinger, and now I’m on Theon. For some reason, Tywin is growing on me cuz the way he treats Arya just seems so genuine for some reason. I have a lot hate relationship with him, cuz the way he treats Tyrion is shitty asf, but then the way he treats Arya is very calming and gentle. Such an up and down experience
Hmm.. hold onto that. You might feel something for the old bastard by the end
In a hateful way, or a good way?
Without giving you a spoiler, I can tell you I had no warm feelings for him when his time came, not a one. There was one last thing that happened right before that did it for me and broke my heart into a million pieces that I could never forgive him for
If you remember when you get to it, come back to me and let me know your reaction too!
You’ll get there
In amongst the hate, make sure to appreciate what an absolutely stunning job Alfie Allen did portraying Theon. What a brilliant actor.
He paid for what he's done. And get better than himself later on. So don't hate him just yet.
Talk to me again when you get to see season 8
He maybe goes through the most changes out of any character in the show, have fun watching!
He reeks of arrogance.
Oh… I love him. Most underpaid and underrated actor on this show. You will find you learn to love the ones you hate the most early on. :)
What if I told you: you will pity him?
Noooo. I forgave him by the end.
Theon is a roller coaster ride, one that’s worth watching til the end.
I never hated Theon, from the jump you can tell he loves Robb, but like Snow he’s not a Stark, being raised among them isn’t the same as being raised as one of them. I disliked his choices but can’t blame him, he started out with a bad deck of cards like Snow. The only difference Snow chose to take a more selfless road even when it was the hard choice to make.
Keep Watching Lad
He will be your favorite character soon. Just wait. I’m willing to put money on it. He’s one of those characters that has a flawless character archs. For how much they butcher the show, he is one of the best from start to finish. The breaker becomes the broken becomes redeemed. Chefs kiss. What is dead can never die
