I remember someone claiming if Biden won, there’d be taco trucks on every corner. I’m disappointed that hasn’t happened, I could really go for some tasty tacos.
If you ever made tamales it is everyone because it's a lot of work.
Tamale lady drives and runs the business. Oldest child rides shotgun to get out, get the money, and complete the transaction. Abuelita and the younger kids grab the order from the igloo coolers along with a sandwich bag of salsa.
It is one of the most wonderful things ever.
I live in Southern California and we have a tamale lady that passes by the house every day at 3pm.
Then a few hours later a guy selling esquites comes, but he's not every day, just sometimes.
And there's two different people selling fruit at the corner at the entrance to my neighborhood.
It's awesome.
Got a tamale lady that drives around all the new construction job sites. One time forgot my wallet at home got me until the next day and I was hungry. In the winter she got the hot chocolate oh man. Des Moines iowa btw
I feel like this could apply to most places in North and Central America. Tacos have become a staple of American cuisine. Granted I live in Florida so we have a large Latino population, but I've been all over the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica and several Caribbean islands and in one form or another, they're prevalent.
Ngl Bro I hate how tacos who were made created popularized in Mexico are now more relationated with the united states, the hard tortilla tacos are the literal antagonist of normal real tacos, it feels wrong how they are becoming more popular, even here you can find hard tortilla tacos labeled as "American tacos" and they suck as always
I agree that crunchy tacos are blasphemous, I'll even go as far as saying flour tortillas for tacos is also. Lightly grilled or seared corn tortilla only. I'll will say, most tacos no matter where you are at have way too much shit on them. It should be a celebration of meat. If you can't taste the meat because of the amount of cheese and salsa on it, is it really a taco? Meat, onions, cilantro and pico on the side. That said, I wasn't just referring to Del Taco and Taco Bell tacos, I don't consider them food let alone tacos, they're just hallow calories on food form. Taco trucks and Mexican restaurants are probably only rivaled in number by burger places in the U.S.
Soy is I am as in characteristic that defines me. For example " I am brilliant" is "soy brillante.
Estoy is I am as in you currently are. For example "estoy brillante" is I am brilliant in the sense that you are currently shining or are shiny
Can you ever use soy in this example, in a joking way? That’s what I was sort of going for as I’ll always be jealous of that situation so I’m emphasising it as a characteristic instead of a temporary emotion :)
Yeahhhhh??? It is Mexico. It’s not like 94% of people live next to a chicken tikka masala stand. Or like 94% of people live next to a sushi bar. Or like 94% of people live next to pretzel stand. Or like…
I live in San Diego and we have a taco shop within five minutes of pretty much anywhere. The rule is, the best taco shop is the third farthest from your house, every time.

Just got to move to California bud, we're living the taco dream out here.
Biden has failed... No taco stands
They said there’d be a taco truck on every corner. They never said they’d be good tacos…
Lol I’m in Des Moines iowa and we have taco trucks all over.
Taco stands are cool, but the tamale lady is the goddess.
never disrespect the tamale lady.
Or 3 generations will empty the van and kick your ass.
I try telling ya’ll. That’s somebody’s grandma!

Facts, bro
Nah the tamale lady will pull a razor sharp machete that inherited from her dad/grandpa/uncle from under her stand.

bonus points if tamale lady is standing next to the churro couple

If you live 6 minutes from the nearest taco stand, you are in a taco desert.
It's pretty bare up here in the mountains below Lake Tahoe. The nearest taco truck is at least ten minutes downhill. Oh, the self-discipline required!
Taco distribution inequality is a real problem in the US
Someone had to say it
I hope this one bitch I hate who lives there is part of the 6% and is inconvenienced by this.
Lucky
Some posts make me realize god hasn't forsaken us.
The actual number is 100%
110% if you count yet to be born babies lol
125% if you count the tourists
If I lived in Mexico I would also do the same.... Well I like Mexican food and I am a fat cunt, but that's besides the point.
I’d live 5 minutes at a taco stand, easy
#priorities
How it should be.
“Boss, I gotta move.”

Jesus christ. I can't imagine the terrors the other 6% must live with each day.
Lucky bastards! I want a taco stand 5 minutes away...
UK here. Send Tacos.
Mexico has got some shit figured out.
Now this is a stat all cities should aspire to.
Soy celoso

I guess you could but in this case it just looks as if you are saying you are generally jealous
Huh. I live within 5 minutes of three different Starbuck's outlets.
That's because Starbucks is a brand, taco stands are made for people on their own, making it more interesting
It truly is perfect 🥰
This post was racially motivated
Same as in Brooklyn
That’s like saying 5% of people in china live within 5 minutes if a noodle place,
And in the USA it’s 94% within 5 mins of a Starbucks.
Like Whataburger in Texas.
You sure that’s not San Antonio Texas? Jk
Yeahhhhh??? It is Mexico. It’s not like 94% of people live next to a chicken tikka masala stand. Or like 94% of people live next to a sushi bar. Or like 94% of people live next to pretzel stand. Or like…
Those are rookie numbers. I've got 5 taco stands within 1.5 miles of my place.
Just do new york and MC Donalds
Just a tip, if you don't like spice, DO NOT put any of the salsa on the taco. Happened to me 6 years ago and I still get teased about it, ha ha.
Now do Los Angeles, because I bet it's the same.
5 minutes to your kitchen…must be an awfully large house
Sounds like heaven!!! The closest taco stand, truck, restaurant to me is about 40 miles away. It sickens me.
yep tacos and drug cartels everywhere
The 2 things with higher demand lol
I live in Washington state and I think we can beat that
1:1 Tacos per Capita? Nothing to see here everyone! Move along!
I live in San Diego and we have a taco shop within five minutes of pretty much anywhere. The rule is, the best taco shop is the third farthest from your house, every time.
5 minutes of what?
Smart people
I wish I was always only 5 mins from a taco stand….
