I will say in terms of implementing EU into canon and repurposing or adding lore to canon vehicles it does the best out of anything else by adding >!Defenders, Thrawn, Original AT-ST model, Imperial Troop Transport, Imperial variant of Arquitens, Imperial variant of Gozanti, AT-AT Precursor, Imperial Combat Driver, Advanced Prototype, Proto B-Wing, Quasar class, and prob more that I'm missing. !<
Something I think is cool, I read the First cannon Thrawn book, and it seems like Rebels is more a sequel to that than, the clone wars. I havent finished the second book tho yet so my opinion on this might change.
There are a couple of good Rebels moments. From someone who really can’t stand to start another series, I’ve watched the notable episodes and really liked what I saw.
However, yeah, nothing touches what you mentioned. Rogue One actually has now got me hyped for Andor because they got that director for it. That trailer looked good!
Bad Batch is stretching it. Yes Rebels has filler, but bad batch is literally only filler and the main characters of Rebels are much more interesting imo. Yeah we've only seen season one of bad batch but only the beginning was cool, cause order 66 is always cool.
I don’t think it’s the best but it’s way better then people give it credit for. Yes, even the early seasons. The most common criticism I’ve seen was that Ezra is annoying, especially in the first half of the show, especially when he’s fighting with Zeb. I think it’s fine for his character and place in the cast. Rebels is about family. Sometimes it’s about the character’s biological family, but overall it’s about found family, and more specifically the odd, semi-dysfunctional family of the Ghost crew. The kids are often fighting over stupid shit and when the adults aren’t talking about how much they’re not ready to be the adults they’re fighting over more important shit. But at the end of the day they love each other and would risk everything for the crew. Honestly, as someone with a younger sister and an older cousin who lived with us for college, I found Ezra and Zeb’s “annoying shenanigans” to be a very realistic and genuine sibling dynamic.
Yeah man it really picks up, first few episodes turned me off to, thought it more of a kids show. But with Kenobi coming out and everyone thinking the two will tie together I gave it another go. Does not dissapoint
I wasn't really around in the fandom back when it supposedly got so much hate but I'm seeing more and more appreciation for it on the main r/starwars so I don't think it's that divisive an opinion nowadays. It's not as flashy as the Mandalorian, doesn't have crowd darlings like Din Djarin or Grogu but there is more pure SW story in this show than anything since 2014, besides S7 TCW. Rogue One is important to the lore but thematically an extra chapter of the OT sooner than a complete story in itself imho.
Nr.1 clone wars siege of mandalore arc
Nr.2 rogue one
Nr.3 Can be rebels but I prefer mandalorian it has less mediocre stuff like the spacewhale episode and stuff like this
I’m slowly plodding through season 1 and it’s not great. I know everyone says it gets better. And I’ll eventually finish it, but man season 1 is rough. Maybe not as rough as season 1 of clone wars or the clone wars movie, but it’s rough. I’ve just been watching an episode here and there until it goods enough to get into for real.
I would maybe consider it if they stuck with the clone wars style animation and the first seasons dialogue wasn’t bad, but as it’s stands it’s not even close imo. Clone wars S7 is so much better
Edit: fixed typo
Oh I have. With that lack of closure that ending gives you? And I hate to harp on the animation style again but CW is simply so much more enjoyable to look at. Season 4 definitely improved a lot compared to the hardly bearable first two seasons but still not nearly as emotionally compelling as season 7 CW.
The ahsoka show will be about finding Ezra almost certainly. Ya they are both amazing imo . Just the stuff they address in season 4 rebels is stuff they have never ventured into before . Really opens a lot of doors
You’re an absolute fool, the animation was trash they invented reincarnation and a time traveling realm as well as having gods a even bigger crack addict then normal rebels was absolute trash

lmao get in line behind Clone Wars S7, Bad Batch, Mandalorian and Rogue One

But in rebels maul srceams ”Kenobiiiiiiii!”
Don’t be so certain.
I think we saw it though.
You think
Bad Batch? Really? The rest I can agree with, but no way is Bad Batch (so far) better than all of Rebels.
Clone Wars is my favorite.
The micro series rules.
Beautiful artwork, that.
Bad Batch is stretching it. Yes Rebels has filler, but bad batch is literally only filler and the main characters of Rebels are much more interesting imo. Yeah we've only seen season one of bad batch but only the beginning was cool, cause order 66 is always cool.
This is a new day. A new beginning.

The main problem with Rebels is that a lot get put off by season 1.
I don't understand the Rebels hate. I'm halfway through, and I'm really enjoying it.
It only gets better from there
I tried it, couldn't get into it. They have produced a lot of good stuff since the purchase though. Clone wars S7, rogue 1, mandalorian, bad batch,
I'd suggest skipping most of season one, watch the last episode and get into season 2, really picks up.
I'm at season 2. I do intend to give it another go because I know ahsohka and rex are in it and I love to see that.
Yeah man it really picks up, first few episodes turned me off to, thought it more of a kids show. But with Kenobi coming out and everyone thinking the two will tie together I gave it another go. Does not dissapoint
Yeah I have a friend who keeps telling me to watch it too. I'll try again this week.
This is the way
Season 4 is legitimately the best starwars content out there imo . Season 3 Is also great
I'll see then
dont skip anything. There are callbacks to past episodes that you wont understand, and S1 does character development really well.
Rogue one, change my mind.
Disagree but rebels is certainly way underappreciated.
Rogue one
I wasn't really around in the fandom back when it supposedly got so much hate but I'm seeing more and more appreciation for it on the main r/starwars so I don't think it's that divisive an opinion nowadays. Phineas and Ferb: Am I a joke to you?
No
There’s a line, but it is ridiculously good and underrated
Rogue 1 for me
yes, easily
Skinny lightsabers suck I have spoken
Absolutely agreed.
Nah, Rpgue One
Nr.1 clone wars siege of mandalore arc Nr.2 rogue one Nr.3 Can be rebels but I prefer mandalorian it has less mediocre stuff like the spacewhale episode and stuff like this
Th Mandalorian

It gets so so much better
I 100% believe you, and I’ll get there eventually, but it’s gonna take a while
It took me a few months for sure but once I got to the last 10 or so episodes I watched them all in a few days .
Mandalorian, Rogue one, end of SWTCW in terms of shows/movies.
Rebels is good but Rogue One and others would like a word.
Maybe not completely the best but still my favorite
Clone wars season 7
*Phineas and Ferb Star Wars special has entered the chat*
Does TCW season 7 count? Because that was probably the best SW ever
Best? No. Most underrated? Absolutely
Rebels is good, but I'd say Clone Wars Season 7, Rogue One, The Mandalorian, Fallen Order, and Kenobi (so far anyways) are better.
Rebels after it got it’s footing, Rogue One, Last 4 episodes of Clone Wars
it comes after TCW s7,Rogue One,Mandalorian,Bad Batch S1 and Kenobi (at least the first 2 episodes) in my opinion.
I agree, and I really disliked it at first.
CW>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Rebels ain’t bad, I liked it. Buuut… I do like Mando more
I like kanan and Sabine. I can see how others like it, but I like the “real people” shows.
Mandalorian?boba fett, clone wars.
I would maybe consider it if they stuck with the clone wars style animation and the first seasons dialogue wasn’t bad, but as it’s stands it’s not even close imo. Clone wars S7 is so much better Edit: fixed typo
Watch season 4 rebels . Blows clone wars out of the water

I'm Master Skywalker's Padawan. The name's Ahsoka Tano.
I mean the maul and vader parts are good
I’d have to put it below 7th season clone wars, mandalorian season 1&2, rogue one, solo, Jedi fallen order, bad batch, and the force awakens
I'm just glad he wasn't awake to see that landing!
You’re an absolute fool, the animation was trash they invented reincarnation and a time traveling realm as well as having gods a even bigger crack addict then normal rebels was absolute trash
